Meg Bowles is the executive director of Multiple Stories and a founding member of the world-renowned storytelling organisation, The Moth. Bowles is co-host of the Peabody Award-winning The Moth Radio Hour, which airs on 550+ public radio stations in the US and on BBC4 extra in the UK. Over the decades, she has helped a wide array of storytellers craft their stories and has directed MainStage shows everywhere from Anchorage to London. Her background in television (Saturday Night Live, Comedy Central, Discovery) and film (Miramax) has sharpened her editorial sense and eye for detail. She is able to spot a seemingly small story in the wild and transform it into something universal. Bowles is the author of the New York Times bestselling book How to Tell a Story, editor of the New York Times bestselling anthology, A Point of Beauty: Stories of Holding on and Letting Go, as well as contributing editor to The Moth: Fifty True Stories, All These Wonders: True Stories About Facing the Unknown, and the New York Times bestseller, Occasional Magic: True Stories About Defying the Impossible.
